Loki überbringt Earl Haraldson die Botschaft, dass Ragnar Lothbrok den Stammesführer zu einem Duell herausfordert. Der nimmt an und trifft schon am nächsten Tag auf seinen Kontrahenten, der immer noch verletzt ist. Am Ende dieses Kampfes soll einer der beiden Männer den Tod finden, dem anderen gelten von nun an der Gehorsam, die Treue und die Ehrfurcht der Stammesmitglieder. (ProSieben)

An interesting plot shift that culminates in a long-awaited personal duel in the style of GoT. It doesn't have the fatality and grandeur of Kings Landing – in a grimy Viking village it's more like a poor relation of sorts in the form of a street brawl, but there's an interesting and consistent clash of two different religions and cultures, which gets its due importance. So far, so good.

Another well-crafted episode. Vikings continues to keep me entertained, even during the quieter moments, which is a good sign. It was fascinating to see how much change was triggered by the outcome of a single duel. And the award for the most surprised character goes to Jarl Bjarni!:-)
