Der junge ambitionierte Schriftsteller Sam (Justin Long) hat ein Auge auf Birdie (Evan Rachel Wood), die niedliche und skurrile Bedienung in seinem Coffeeshop, geworfen. Als seine schüchternen Anmachversuche scheitern, sucht er auf ihrer Facebookseite nach ihren Vorlieben und erstellt dann seinerseits ein Profil mit Interessen von Birdies Traummann: Gesellschaftstanz, Klettern, Hobbykoch. Seine schier endlose, eskalierende Reihe verrückter Hobbys wird bei ihr ein Überraschungserfolg. Doch als Birdie vollständig seinem übertriebenen Alter Ego verfällt, muss Sam die Vorstellung fortsetzen oder er verliert das Mädchen seiner Träume für immer. (EuroVideo Media)

Justin Long and Evan Rachel Wood did not show much, which is a bit of failure because the movie is mostly about them. However, the supporting roles preserved the movie some dignity, so we can thank the people, who, for this below average romantic movie, were able to get actors like Peter Dinklage, Brendan Fraser, Sam Rockwell or Vince Vaugh, because all of them clearly made fun of the movie and for a moment made it better.

Until Justin Long's character starts acting like a complete idiot, leading to the turning point in the film, it is a good romance that can simply have a nice peaceful progression. Nothing grand, but pleasant, yes. The fact that we complicate our lives with unnecessary things and our own stupidity is one thing, but watching it in this execution was a bit too much for me. The ending really saddens me, but on the other hand, the version with the writer and his story is quite interesting.
