Crunch Calhoun (Russell), ein zweitklassiger Motorrad-Stuntman und halb geläuterter Kunstdieb, erklärt sich bereit, mit seinem zwielichtigen Bruder Nicky (Dillon) ein letztes krummes Ding zu drehen. Crunch ruft das alte Team zusammen und plant, ein historisches Buch von unvorstellbarem Wert zu stehlen. Der erfolgreiche Raub führt zum nächsten, weitaus kühneren Vorhaben von Nicky, das am Ende dieses Gaunerfilms über Ehre und Rache jedoch daran scheitert, dass beide Brüder nicht an einem Strang ziehen. Kurt Russell is quietly returning to active acting. He hasn't made much in the last three years, but maybe that will change. He has three projects in filming straight away. "The Art of the Steal" is a comedy about thieves, which seems to be popular lately. The Coen brothers, with their screenplay for the film "Gambit," proved that it's not easy, and the film "The Art of Steal" only confirmed that. The film lacks the necessary punch, and neither Russell, Dillon, nor Baruchel can save it. I was quite bored. At least the jokes will reach about 40%.
