Janardhan Jakhar (Ranbir Kapoor) lives in his own world, encompassed with music and dreams of mesmerizing the world with his voice. Midst unsuccessful auditions, and thwarted attempts in creating music, this Delhi boy imbibes a priceless piece of advice from his mentor friend , great music is borne from great pain. He who hasn't experienced the pain of heartbreak shall not know the depth and intensity of sublime music. Janardhan now sets out to find the pain that will make his life and music go beyond the realm of the ordinary. He proposes to Heer (nargis Fakhri), the stunning beauty from the college. Quiet and subdued, Heer has a well of emotion hidden inside, a ocean of unfettered energy waiting to exude. The story of Janardhan and Heer starts off as one of laughter and mirth, but with every passing day, this becomes more intense, more passionate and more vulnerable.Heer and Janardhan get separated, as she gets married off to Prague. Janardhan's pain of separation translates into words and music, transcending the heart and the soul. Ich persönlich bin sehr zufrieden mit Rockstar. Bisher habe ich nicht so viel Potenzial in Ranbir gesehen, Saawariya stand mehr für die charmante Ästhetik des Unwirklichen, in Wake Up Sid wirkte er für mich fast peinlich. Aber ich habe schon eine Weile ein Auge auf seine Paarung mit Katrina geworfen, und mit Priyanka muss das dann ein reiner Leckerbissen sein. Ich mochte Imtiaz Alis Debütfilm Plötzlich verliebt sehr, und was den Soundtrack von Rahman angeht, bin ich voll dafür. Trotzdem ist das endgültige Rockstar-Erlebnis noch besser, als ich erwartet hatte. Nicht einmal mit üppigen Emotionen, sondern mit der Pracht der Häufigkeit der Verwandlung eines naiven Träumers, der schließlich durch seinen Ruhm zu Staub zerfällt. Bhandarkar hat es zum Beispiel mit Fashion geschafft, etwas Ähnliches zu rekonstruieren, und ich hoffe sehr, dass sein Heroine - Der Preis des Ruhms ein Spiegel des großartigen Rockstar sein könnte.
