Julien ist für Frauen so etwas wie die schwarze Katze, die von rechts kommt: Er bringt nur Unglück. Sobald sie sich verlieben, passiert ihnen ein skurriles Missgeschick nach dem anderen. Damit schlägt Julien jede Freundin in die Flucht. Dennoch hat er das Talent, Frauen glücklich zu machen – allerdings nur mit anderen Männern, denn er ist einer der erfolgreichsten Eheberater von Paris. Als er die Werbedesignerin Joanna kennenlernt, scheint sich alles zum Guten zu wenden. Zumal Joanna nichts so leicht erschüttert.
