Season 3 had a very slow start. Fortunately, there were some excellent episodes later, so I ended up giving it five stars. I still consider it the weakest one so far, though. Some of the scenes felt like the writers ripped themselves off. They strongly reminded me of the first and second season. What I found completely unnecessary here was everything around the Brody family, which served only as a filler in the story. I can only hope that I won't see anything like this in the next season. 5*- (01.12.2017)

While watching the first episode of the third season, I couldn't shake the feeling that it lacked excitement. I understand that Carrie Mathison's character has her problems, but I'm starting to get the impression that some situations are repeating themselves. Already in the first season, she had to face the consequences of her mistakes caused by her mental state, and now I feel like the situation will repeat itself. All I can do now is hope for new developments in the upcoming episodes. (30.11.2017)

I was still able to give four stars, but it was really on the edge. Carrie has problems like in the first season, Dana has problems like in the second season, and if I don't want to get bored, something strong is needed. It seems like the screenwriter's creative enthusiasm has disappeared along with the character of Nicholas Brody. 4* (30.11.2017)

OK, this time I was really bored. I have no idea what these creators were aiming for, but I didn't enjoy it. I give three stars for the performances of Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, but unfortunately, I have nothing else to praise. This episode was just filler and I only hope it won't happen again. Finally, in the third season, something started happening, only now did I feel like I was watching Homeland again. I am extremely glad that the plot is no longer focusing on events at the psychiatric ward, I was starting to get bored with it myself. Furthermore, the creators have returned to old, good intrigues, so I have forgiven them even Dana and her unnecessary story. (30.11.2017)

I was quite satisfied with the fifth episode. There was intrigue, political maneuvering, and even geese shooting. The announcement of a hot candidate for the position of CIA director was excellent, but all the effort was strongly disrupted by Dan's story, which is completely irrelevant for the series, hence only 4*. This time, I was very satisfied. The episode finally had a proper atmosphere, some tension was present in it, the screenwriter clearly regained their earlier form, and as a bonus, Dana Lazaro finally detached herself from the series along with her absolutely fundamental problems. Still full of enthusiasm that the plot is no longer returning to the psychiatric hospital, I award five stars. But no, not just for that reason, the episode had a decent pace, and even though there was almost no leaving the table, I was not bored at all. Intrigue was once again at its highest level, and this time Brody's family was omitted, which is a clear plus. (01.12.2017)

The eighth episode was successful. The atmosphere was good and there was also tension, and I have to praise the character Dar Adal, he is absolutely unreadable for me, which is great. Moreover, I was very amused by the stopping of the unguided missile, it seems that the only effective way has finally been found. (01.12.2017)

The introduction of the episode really scared me, again the hospital and again the ruin in Caracas. Fortunately, it turned out to be just a starting position for another solid part of the story, which was newly inserted in a refreshing way by Mossad. Only with Brody's mission did the screenwriter let himself get carried away a bit, something like this is how the Japanese could explain to a fresh pilot kamikaze that he should crash his plane into the enemy ship and return to base after its destruction. Probably the most impressive episode from the entire series so far. Faint-hearted individuals may not have any concerns, thanks to the darkness, this episode is suitable for children as well. I enjoyed watching the situation in Langley, I really like how logic can be bent, sometimes even overturned in the name of "the end justifies the means" action. It reminds me a bit of the discussions around here. (01.12.2017)

If the previous episode was mostly action-packed, this one builds on a dense atmosphere and well-built tension. Based on what I've seen, working for the CIA must be an amazing adrenaline-filled experience, but when things don't go according to plan, the agency seems to distance itself from its people or, in the worst case, even "takes care" of them. Agents probably find this in the contract under employee benefits. (01.12.2017)

I have quite conflicting feelings about the final episode, the first half entertained me, as tradition, there were intrigues and expendable pawns were sacrificed, the second half fell into mediocrity, partly bored me and partly annoyed me with its pathetic outbursts. Nevertheless, I appreciate the final resolution of Brody's question, Damian Lewis will be missed in the series, but the further presence of his character was logically unsustainable. (01.12.2017)

I was a bit apprehensive about Season 4 after Damian Lewis left the show, but I have to say it was the best one so far. It was the most action-packed season, much aided by the fact that I didn't have to observe any more of the turbulent fates of the Brody family. I was just somewhat thrown off by the finale which was very weak. The creators managed to create a great atmosphere in this season and escalate the suspense, which I sometimes found lacking in the previous seasons. I had a great time. (02.12.2017)

Unlike the slow start of the third season, the opening episode of the fourth series really heated up. I was never bored for a moment and I enjoyed the excellent atmosphere, heightened tension, and high-quality action scenes. By the way, the scene with the cake was great, singing "She's a jolly good fellow!" and then handing over the cake with the inscription Drone Queen truly requires a sense of dark humor. (01.12.2017)

Although my favorite Peter Quinn has prepared a very unpleasant surprise for me, I rate the episode with five stars because I once again enjoyed a decent dose of intrigue and to my own surprise, even Carrie's family problems entertained me this time. I'm only not pleased to find out that everything important will apparently revolve around that dimwitted Pakistani lad, who unpleasantly reminds me of members of the Rajasthani tribe who have settled in our republic as well. The third episode was the calmest so far from this season, but I definitely wasn't bored by it. I discovered that Peter Quinn is a true patriot when, as a CIA employee, he doesn't just try to protect the interests of the USA, he does everything to keep American alcohol manufacturers afloat. No, it's not that there wasn't enough intrigue this time, but the whole episode was somehow lacking excitement. I definitely wasn't bored, but I simply expect more from the creators of Homeland, they shouldn't spoil me :-) I understand Carrie's method of recruiting informants, but this? I hope it's within the realm of sacrificing oneself for the country. (02.12.2017)

Just like in the previous episode, I have to say that it didn't bore me, but I'm far from being enthusiastic. There were complexities, manipulations, and intrigues, but unfortunately, most of the episode was taken up by Carrie's reckless adventure, which really annoys me and as a long-time secret service employee, I expected more from Saul in the end. It was evident that he hadn't been working in the field for some time. 4* (02.12.2017)

Although I was initially disgusted by the opening scene, the rest of the episode went in the right direction and things started happening again. If it weren't for the former director of the agency, the masterful manipulation would have been brought to a happy ending, and the series would have been shortened by half. I can't help it, but the character of the husband who outwits all trained agents seems somewhat strange to me. Well, anyway, still 5*. (02.12.2017)
