Yeonae kyeolhon

It's quite a change from all the doramas I've seen lately, as it was set in a school setting and was generally more "childlike", if I that’s the word for it. Here we have a couple, two working people going through troubles with love, which they eventually overcome mainly through mutual support. It wouldn't be a Korean dorama if it weren't complicated by misunderstandings (but the couple tries to reduce those as much as possible and succeeds on the whole) and bad coincidences. But it also manages to be romantic, cheery, with a good feel and tears. All in all, it just makes for a pretty mediocre piece that I don't mind watching, even if it doesn't bring much new to the table. You can take away a good feeling from it and that's what counts :-) Moreover, the ending is so beautifully romantic, nothing too sweet, but absolutely romantic, so I was moved by its simplicity. A weaker 4 stars. I’d say: "Take a look and see if it’s your thing." (03.10.2010)
