Legendary horror star Vincent Price is at his terrifying best as Gallico the Great, an inspired inventor of magic acts who longs to perform his creations himself. The Mad Magician predictably goes the way you could predict from the start as it is quite simple really. However, it is still pleasantly playful and Vincent Price in the lead role never gets boring. This was an enjoyable seventy minutes.
