Elvis Presley mimt den Entertainer Johnny, der seine Gage regelmässig beim Glücksspiel verliert. Eigentlich will er sich sein Laster seiner Freundin Frankie (Donna Douglas) zuliebe abgewöhnen. Doch dann prophezeit ihm eine Wahrsagerin das Ende seiner Pechsträhne - in Gestalt der schönen rothaarigen Nellie. Frankie ist mit Johnnys plötzlichem Sinneswandel alles andere als einverstanden. This is a bunch of nonsense that takes place on a cruise ship, where the biggest attraction was that Elvis Presley took the lead role. He sings here and there, which is quite nice - actually the film is best when he sings - but plot-wise it's pretty boring, which nothing much can save. The Technicolor colors here are awesome though. It's pleasantly retro in that way.
