Schoolteacher Marian Ives visits the Yorkshire moors where her friend, Evelyn, disappeared a year ago. Caught in a violent storm, she takes refuge in a large, lonely house to which she is grudgingly admitted by Stephen Deremid, a reclusive pianist traumatised by his experiences in the Spanish Civil War. While Marian finds herself attracted to Stephen, she also begins to suspect that he may have had something to do with her friend's disappearance. (Network)

The British production The Night Has Eyes is definitely not as psycho as it might initially seem, although there were moments considered to be real horror in their day. The movie appears mellow now without any sort of fundamentally oppressive atmosphere. However, I think that the acting performances can grab you and hold your attention. I think you are going to watch The Night Has Eyes all the way to the end.
