Nach ihrem College-Abschluss fahren ein paar Freunde in ein abgelegenes Feriengebiet, um dieses Ereignis gebührend zu feiern. Der Spaß ist nur von kurzer Dauer, als ein sadistischer Psychopath sie in ein tödliches Spiel zwingt: Um 6 Uhr am nächsten Morgen müssen sechs von ihnen tot sein - nur einer kann überleben. Wer immer es sein wird, kann frei und ungehindert gehen. Sollte aber am Morgen noch mehr als eine Person am Leben sein, werden alle sterben! (ProSieben)

Really, putting eight friends in a summer cottage and have them kill each other under the supervision of a deranged psychopath is not a bad idea. Actually, it’s a very good idea that a smart screenwriter could do wonders with. If they worked properly with the psychology of the characters, it could be something nerve-wrecking. Unfortunately, the screenwriter of Kill Theory doesn’t seem to have that much talent (though he isn’t a bum either) and what we got instead is a nothing but a fairly entertaining slasher that doesn’t scare, nor does it disgust with brutality, but you sure won’t get bored. I could have been more than satisfied, but the idea of a brutal psychological horror film bearing the same name slightly erodes that satisfaction. But I’m still rating it with strong three stars, though.
