Die New Yorker Sängerin Lady Lou hat einen Haufen männliche Bekannte. Jedoch ist einer von ihnen ein ziemlich skrupelloser Krimineller und dieser macht sich nach einem Gefängnisausbruch auf die Suche nach “seinem” Mädchen. The first encounter with Mae West in her strong form, I must admit, didn't really impress me much. Her stylization doesn't suit me, just like her acting, but that's a matter of taste. Otherwise, the story itself is quite interesting and flows quite well. In this aspect, it is entertaining, and there are great alternations between humorous moments and slightly more serious ones. But overall, it is still more of a romantic farce.
