The handsome man in the red shorts has darkened and the result is a destructive contest in two halves, driven mainly by a clever script that delivers a suspenseful plot and likable characters. The only hindrance is the cheap animation, which will be appreciated only by early birds watching weekend TV.

So mom wanted me to find a kids’ movie. This was the only one available. Doomsday is super cartoon, packed full of action, perhaps a little surprising for its toughness and destruction. Metropolis in ruins, people dying... wonderful! If only the drawing had been a bit better.

Ich gebe zu, dass ich immer noch Vorbehalte gegenüber Supermans Solo-Abenteuern habe, und im Moment würde ich ihn lieber als Teil eines Duos mit Batman akzeptieren, oder noch besser, als Mitglied von JL. Aber ich muss zugeben, dass der teuflische Plot von Doomsday sehr eingängig ist, er spielt kurz nachdem Kal anfängt, mit Lois auszugehen, und ein neues Ass von Lex auf den Plan tritt. Das Drama ist mit Spannung und einer interessanten Wendung durchsetzt, die Action ist gut dosiert, und insgesamt freue ich mich auf mehr und mehr Animationsfilme von DC Nation.
