Englisch Commissioner Maigret has a rather sleepy pace from today's perspective and in the flood of various action-packed crime series, charismatic psychopathic killers, brilliant investigators and detectives with various bizarre personality traits, as well as a fairly unremarkable hero, which does not apply to Bruno Cremer, but to the literary character himself. Within the show, a long series of full-length television films was created, directed by various directors with more or less balanced quality that is not amazing, but also not offensive. The positive aspect is Bruno Cremer in the main role, who, as an experienced top French actor, maintains a high level of performance and gives his character nobility. As a whole, the series deserves essentially an average rating, from which none of the episodes watched significantly stood out. I like the character of Commissioner Maigret for his common touch, social empathy, and empathy for his opponents and the whole world around him. In the flood of modern action series heroes or snobbish detectives investigating mysteries in high society, it is a pleasant refreshment. Commissioner Maigret actually quite often does not deliver the perpetrator of the crime to court, and yet this informal justice is much better than what is can be found in today's justice systems. Overall impression: 55%. ()
