Compared to the first film, this one has more directness, but the plot has dried out. The logical lapses in the actual space-time travel don't matter much, but going back in time because of a badly done job at work is really messed up. Still, some of the visual eye candy is really catching (the warping of space) and for the director of Mortal Kombat 2, it's a few major leaps forward. Eric Lively also definitely has better charisma than Ashton Kutcher, so overall I give it 2 ½.
