If someone told me to sum this movie up in one word, it would definitely be "blue". This movie has a vague blue. I was waiting the whole time, I kept expecting how hard it was going to be, but it was easy, it just took them a little while to realize it. It's definitely not a bad movie, it's just too lyrical for my day, probably too artsy for me to rate it better. Thanks to the two lead actors, I was able to understand, to know what the characters were feeling at times. Definitely not a bad job for a film where feelings are not put into words. But having said that – I was expecting more drama. This really was just a blue tickle that didn't satisfy my desire for a proper emotional wringer. The fitting music, the beautiful shots, the snow, the "forbidden love", and yet none of it managed to hit me, move me, make me cry. It just kind of went by. (23.01.2010)

This movie tries to express the majority of emotions with silence. Sometimes I felt that the shots were unnecessarily lengthy and a few extra words wouldn't have hurt. But how would you feel after being dealt two big blows in a row in life. Just the thought that something like that could happen is indescribable. But I still couldn't really identify with the main characters' behavior. Even despite the fact that the heroine was played by the amazing Ye-jin Son. 3.5 stars. (04.02.2012)
