After the divorce they go on living under the same roof for they are unable to agree on the common wealth. The husband is unable to chase his wife away. According to his attorney friend, Zsengellér the best method to reach his aim is to take a new wife in the house, but Péter doesn't want to hear about this. Then he follows the advice after all and proposes to Erzsi, Zsengellér's bespectacled typist. The girl agrees to marry him and he takes her to the estate. Erzsi will only learn here, when she becomes friend with Lina, what situation she got in. Deceived in her love she leaves the estate to go to Pest and following her long time dream she appears in a locale. In the meantime the visits of Zsengellér transform into deep friendship with Lina.
