Tamássy Sándor frowns upon the courtship between Bodó István, a young writer, and his daughter. Yet, her daughter's affection might make him change his mind, so it seems, providing Bodó's recently published new novel "Rendez vous at the Danube" is to be a success. Tamássy's intrigues are now directed at what looks to be a widely acclaimed novel, but the young man, at once alert and practical minded, puts up an advert in all daily papers, which reads "An extremely rich young man would marry any girl similar in character to the protagonist in Bodó István's new novel. No dowry needed." The novel is a sweeping success and all obstacles to the marriage are now removed. (Verleiher-Text)
