Englisch The aftermath of an April Fools’ trick gone wrong. The idea itself of filming this story in the style of Run Lola Run may not be anything original, but it might have worked here if any screenplay existed. Restart is simply an onslaught of random scenes about nothing. But thanks to the short running time and solid pace, you don’t get bored. Most of the weaker moments were rescued by the charismatic Lenka Krobotová in the main role - just a shame she had to play such an unlikeable character. The result is perfect in terms of form and technical details, no argument. However, the filmmakers demonstrated that they have much promise for the future and, if they manage to get hold of a good screenplay, we have something to look forward to. This attempt at restarting Czech cinema is endearing for trying, rather than for its quality. ()

Englisch That the courage would be there, there is also knowledge about the possibilities of current video production. What is missing is the ability to understand the difference between a music video and a full-length film, and also the lack of experience and creative humility. And unlike Julia Ševčík, I should not forget about a proper script and better work with characters. In this state, it is just another one of the numerous dead ends of Czech cinematography, and the presence of one of the most charismatic actresses of her generation and a member of the highly acclaimed Dejvické divadlo ensemble, Lenka Krobotová, does not help the hesitant result too much. From Otakar's windswept Eliška, who loves wilderness, Ševčík has indeed progressed, but far from how many clearly think based on positive reviews. The result is just as affected as its main heroine. Overall impression: 25%. ()
