BOUNDIN' features a freshly shorn lamb and a jackalope – the mythical horn-adorned rabbit of American western folklore. For the high-stepping lamb, life is an upbeat western waltz until his prairie friends tease him about his freshly sheared look. He gets down in the dumps after losing his lustrous coat. The only one who can see things right is the giant jackalope, who brings sunshine and optimism with him wherever he bounds. Irrepressibly optimistic, the jackalope comes on to the scene to cheer him up and put a dance back into his step. (HBO Europe)

Nice animation, nice country music, quite nice narration... a bit of weak payoff, but still 4 stars.

Der zweifellos seltsamste Pixar-Kurzfilm. Eine verrückte und ausgezeichnet animierte Fabel mit einer einprägsamen Musik und einer klaren Botschaft – nichts ist völlig fürchterlich, man kann sich an alles gewöhnen, und sogar etwas davon haben, man muss es nur wollen (vielleicht ist die Botschaft aber eine ganz andere).

Once again, the Pixar team showed in this short film that it can be done with humor. Yes, the story is actually quite silly, but that doesn't change the fact that it is incredibly relaxing, just like the music that accompanies the short film. In fact, the whole video could easily pass for a country music video, as country music plays in the background, the singing is also country, and it's all rhymed. Innovative with a concept, and so what if it's about a sheared sheep that just wants to jump around?
