A little girl Helena and her appealing, cute, fresh, soft, desirable and merry excursion into how difficult it is growing up in small-town Czechoslovakia at the beginning of the nineteen seventies. Barbora’s monologs, honed to perfection and adorned with necessary objectivity make Hrdý Budžes a great secret waiting to be revealed. But you know what? Well, I’ll tell you: the secret is that this is one of the best recordings of a comedy theatre play of the past many years. But, shhh, we don’t want too many people to know about it... (13.04.2005)
