Barrio Wars

A modern-day Romeo and Juliet story set against the backdrop of the steamy and violent Latin barrio, Plato and Angelina are two young lovers from rival gangs whose passion blooms despite their gangs' violent ways. Ignoring the wisdom of his older mentor, Osiris, who wants Plato to steer his talents toward music, Plato confronts Angelina's homicidal brother Rico, who killed Plato's sister in a pool hall fight. When Plato kills Rico's man, Santino, in revenge, Angelina fakes her own death to go hide with Plato in Venice, but the plan backfires ending in tragedy for the two lovers.
