(Verleiher-Text)

Englisch Almost the entire Frat Pack in a crackpot, but also extremely entertaining comedy. The story of a slightly, okay, really crackpot news team from the city of “whale vaginas", in the days when people still believed everything that was said on TV. If you like comedies featuring members of this “pack", then you must see this. ()

Englisch In the 2000s, it was almost impossible not to come across an American comedy that didn't feature the ever-changing cast of the Frat Pack. Sometimes they were relatively reasonable, other times they went off the rails, and occasionally they created Ron Burgundy. Even amidst the likes of Zoolander or the seemingly well-behaved Dodgeball or Starsky & Hutch, Anchorman seems like a series of jokes for which the script only serves as a mandatory framework to make it possible to film and release it in theaters. And every now and then, the endless improvisation of Will Ferrell's shouting or Steve Carell's dadaistic babbling hits the mark. And yet for every such moment, there are three more that completely stumble and insult your intelligence. For some, a trip to 1970s San Diego may be a reminder of a time when comedies could show almost anything incorrect and offensive to any group. But for me, it has aged into an almost unwatchable mess, saved only by the supporting roles and the palpable feeling that the participants were clearly having a good time. At least someone was. ()

Englisch Will Ferrell produces exactly the type of desperately cheap humor based on awkwardness, frequent use of vulgarities, and repetition that I hate and I am surprised at myself that I'm not immediately giving this successful comedy a Boo! rating. It has only one flaw - it is simply too stupid. Overall impression: 15% ()

Englisch It’d be hard to find a film where the guys are bigger brutes, and it’d be even harder to find a film where that brutishness and the utterly unserious feminist undertones are so much fun. Anchorman is about Will Ferrell, who delivers what’s probably his most over-the-top and funniest performance, and that’s all you need to know about it. At times it’s a little awkward and dramaturgically inconsistent, but it’s so much bloody fun, packed with ideas and cameos that will knock you down (the best one is Ben Stiller in his Dodgeball mode). If the news were really that insane, I would watch them. ()

Englisch Actually, it's more like a modern fairytale, which wouldn't work otherwise if it wasn't intertwined with interesting and good humor. This is one of those cases where the actors make the film good. Without them, without their cooperation and without it being evident that they know each other, understand each other, and meet halfway, it wouldn't be possible to create such a high-quality and entertaining film, which was quite often copied and repeated in the following years, mainly thanks to Ferrell, who often plays very similarly. "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" is, however, a film that I recommend to those who like modern American comedies and reject bathroom humor.
