Die Idee ist sicherlich gut, die Umsetzung etwas schlechter, aber es gibt ein paar gelungene Witze – die besten Sprüche lieferte Jana Švandová und vor allem haben wir keinen vorhersehbaren abgedroschenen Schluss gesehen, das schätze ich. Ich gebe dem Film also drei Sterne, obwohl sie überhaupt nicht sauber sind. Eine Fußnote – gibt es einen tschechischen Film oder eine Serie, in der Jaroslav Plesl nicht mitspielt? :-)

In the genre classification of Runaway Mum includes drama, but I would take the "comedy" label with a pinch of salt, as the film is built more on dramatic moments in interpersonal relationships and there is very little humour. A life crisis, a marital crisis, a partner crisis, a family crisis and, as a result, a bit of an audience crisis. The message of the film is clear and straightforward, yet it is handled in such a bland and futile manner and does not attempt to add any value within the genre. At the same time, some of the characters (the kids and the husband) were really annoying.
