Mazaný Filip

Ich mag die Schauspieler von dem Theater Sklep sehr, aber ich kann mich des Eindrucks nicht erwehren, dass nur Tomáš Vorel in der Lage ist, ihren Humor auf die Leinwand zu bringen. Marhoul hat etwas gemacht, das im ersten Teil als lustige Theaterskizze und nicht als Film funktioniert, und im zweiten Teil etwas, das als Film funktioniert, aber nicht als lustige Skizze. Einfach weder Fisch, noch Fleisch. Selbst der ewig gestärkte Hanák spricht mich nicht so sehr an wie in Out of the City, und wenn es nicht ein paar echte schauspielerische Leistungen gäbe, hätte dieser Film ein ganz großer Flop werden können. Smart Philip gives off a rather amateur and cheap impression. It feels as if a group of film students and enthusiastic fans made a film that exudes the joy of creation and shows talent, but at the same time lacks experience, a producer, and attention to detail. Considering the acting talent involved in the film, that is quite surprising. Tomáš Hanák in the lead role didn't sit well with me; his acting range is limited, and perhaps my impression of his performance was also influenced by him being a bit over the top lately. It is clear from the film that the creators worked with an extremely limited budget, which wouldn't bother me as much if not for the fact that many jokes are half-baked, and the script is equally unfinished. During the First Republic, films were made in a week, and Smart Philip seems like it wanted to imitate that approach. I'm not a staunch opponent of product placement, but it needs to be integrated into the film tastefully and with consideration for moderation. Neither of those things applied in this case. „Auf der einen Seite ergab das Sinn... auf der anderen Seite ergab es keinen Sinn mehr...“ Ich tendiere eher zu letztererseits, die Handlung macht wirklich überhaupt keinen Sinn und im Film ergibt so vieles keinen Sinn. Das könnte ich ja noch ertragen, aber Smart Filip ist vor allem eine verzweifelt unlustige Parodie voller ärgerlicher Herabsetzung der Schauspieler, was etwas ist, was mich in tschechischen Komödien dermaßen stört. Ohne viele popkulturelle Anspielungen (unter anderem auch auf South Park, das hätte ich wirklich nicht erwartet) hätte ich es wahrscheinlich nicht ausgehalten. (05.09.2019)
