Otoko wa curai jo: Toradžiró no kokuhaku

In Tottori, Tora-san runs into Izumi (Kumiko Goto), who has run away from home after failing to find a job in Tokyo and after learning that her mother plans to remarry. Joined by Mitsuo, the three visit an izakaya (drinking place serving small dishes) owned by a woman (Kideko Yoshida) who broke Tora-san's heart a decade earlier. The three spend the night at the widow's izakaya, and in this 44th entry Tora-san's old crush is renewed. (Shochiku)
