Englisch I seem to be quite fond of these talkative, intimate movies in the style of Perfect Strangers. While this film didn't quite hit the mark in terms of quality, it resonated with me in many ways. I suppose I have a somewhat twisted enjoyment in watching people ruin their lives (or at least their relationships) through various social games and experiments. I feel like the drama genre tag is missing because it's not solely a comedy, at least in my eyes. Sure, there's humor aplenty, but it's the subtle kind. It demands attention not just to what is being said, but how it's being said — and sometimes it doesn't even need words. And amidst it all, there are other emotions to discover, particularly through Toni's character. I have an aversion to French cinema, but I'm finding myself increasingly drawn to Spanish films. / "Héctor is the love of my life, father. Is it really that hard to understand?"  "Shall I answer you honestly?"  "No." / Lesson learned: Being an environmentally conscious mother costs a lot these days. ()
