Terroristen stürmen die britische Botschaft in Schweden und nehmen einen ranghohen Diplomaten als Geisel. Im Austausch gegen den Botschafter sollen sechs politische Gefangene aus schwedischer Haft entlassen werden. Um den Geiselnehmern mit ihren Genossen den Weg in die Freiheit zu ebnen, kapert ein zweites Terrorkommando eine Verkehrsmaschine und zwingt den Piloten zur Landung in Stockholm. Colonel Tahlvik, ein erfahrener Militär, soll ein Blutbad verhindern und die Terroristen möglichst lange hinhalten. Dabei findet Tahlvik heraus, dass die Entführer im Auftrag der britischen Regierung handeln. (ARD)
