In Joannas Kopf dreht eine Achterbahn wilde Loopings, alles ist ständig in Bewegung. Medizinisch gesagt: Sie hat ADHS. Kurzfristig helfen unverbindlicher Sex mit ihrem Mitschüler Matheus, Schwimmen im Pool und vor allem ihre Medikamente. Doch als die ausgehen und ihr arbeitsloser Vater auch nicht helfen kann, muss Joanna kreativ werden, um selbst an Geld zu kommen. Mitten im Chaos steht plötzlich eine neue Klassenkameradin vor ihr, die coole und selbstbewusste Audrey. Und Joanna hat nicht mehr nur blitzende Gedanken, sondern auch ein wild pochendes Herz. An unsympathetic movie about an unsympathetic girl with ADHD. Joanna is introduced to us as the daughter of a depressed father who sits in front of the TV all day and doesn't have enough money for her development and important medication. Instead of trying to get a part-time job or helping her father get better, she starts hanging out with a new classmate and planning a theft. I don't understand why she started hanging out with her when she had no motivation to spend time with her. An illogical course of action, made even more illogical by her shaking, which resembled withdrawal symptoms rather than ADHD symptoms. The idea of the film was fine, the execution not so good.
