Der brutale Massenmörder Jason liegt nach seinem scheinbaren Ableben im Kühlhaus einer Klinik. Doch Totgeglaubte leben länger - und so macht sich Jason, nachdem er die Klinikcrew umgebracht hat, auf dem Weg zum Crystal Lake. Dort ermordet er nicht nur die feiernden Jugendlichen, sondern auch die Mutter von Tommy und Trish. Doch der kleine Junge und seine Schwester setzen sich zur Wehr. (Kabel eins classics)

Ein fürchterlich dummer, aber relativ unterhaltsamer Horrorfilm. Mit einem sympathisch perversen Höhepunkt. Auch wenn er katastrophal doof ist. Eine angenehm perverse Unterhaltung für stark unkritische Gore-Fans.

Der unruhige Sohn von Frau Vorhees kehrt unter die Lebenden zurück, denn selbst eine Axt, die ihm bei seinem letzten Abenteuer in den Kopf geschlagen wurde, kann ihn nicht erschüttern. Dieser Teil ist im Vergleich zu Teil drei geradliniger, was jedoch nicht bedeutet, dass es schadet. Jason erfindet keine ausgefallenen Morde, sondern er kocht und hackt eher mit seiner Freundin - der Machete. Und da Savini für die Tricks zuständig war, kann man sich selbst ein genaues Bild machen. Gleichzeitig ist dies der letzte Teil, der die ausgezeichnete Atmosphäre der vorherigen Filme bewahrt hat. Joseph Zito beherrschte die blutigen Szenen (drei Jahre zuvor beeindruckte er mit der Brutalität von Die Forke des Todes), schade, dass er nicht mehr Ähnliches gedreht hat. Für mich 90%. P.S: Ich werde nie vergessen, wie ich das als Kind allein zu Hause und spät in der Nacht geschaut habe :)

After the first four episodes, I still don’t understand why Friday the 13th is such a famous franchise. The atmosphere and the cool killer are the only thing worth praise, but when it comes to the direction and the acting, every episode is worse than the previous one, to the point that I feel that even an amateur could make it with that budget. In the case of Final Chapter, the script doesn’t help, either, it’s almost surprisingly stupid and naive.

"Friday the 13th Part 4" is a classic sequel that doesn't have any groundbreaking ideas, it simply follows the familiar formula and tries to keep coming up with new ways for the beloved character Jason to murder without any deeper meaning. Don't expect any mythology, just the effort to deliver to the viewers what the previous films did. The main question is then, will anyone survive.

More or less a standard slasher film somewhere on the level of the first installment. It has enjoyable bloody moments, and an often naked cast (Adam’s bathing pleases), but all in all, it is not any sort of revelation. Rather, at times I notice a bit of an aftertaste of routine without any passion. I feel like a social outcast, however, as I am not a gore fan (yet) and yet I enjoyed it (within reason). :)
