Before there are any more disappointed people who were attracted by the “horror” label and expected dread and blood, bear this warning: Scare Me is not really horror! It’s an entertaining conversational drama that deconstructs the horror genre through the scary stories that two people tell each other in a remote cabin the woods during a blackout. It’s a film for people who like scary films and stories, but not for those who expect horror itself from them. So save yourselves some time :) And speaking about time, I think a shorter run would help this film significantly because in the second half it falls a little apart. Twenty minutes less would be good. 7/10
