Four terminally ill patients are thrown together in a self-help group run by Els, who, as timing would have it, is going through a midlife crisis. Moreover, she has no previous professional experience working as a group therapist. What starts out as a comic first meeting soon turns into a dark human drama when Phillipe announces the severity of his predicament. Cathy tries to settle her family’s affairs and find a mother for her children. Outspoken Elisabeth discovers a surprising truth about herself and helps Vince cope with his failing health.
