Die Kraken aus dem zweiten Stock

Seven-year Honzík and his nine-year-old sister Eva head out with their parents on a not-quite-fun vacation to Portugal. They fail to see a ban on swimming at beaches affected by oil spills and the whole family gets arrested when the go swimming. The parents have another reason to argue and the children take home two mysterious objects from the beach, which reform into two little octopuses. They're unaware that the stuff is alive and has fled from the scientific research ship of Professor George, whose team discovered it in the depths of the sea. And because this stuff is not only alive, but also speaks, is extremely curious, and unexpectedly responsive to electricity, strange things begin to happen around the Holan house. It gets worse when George and his people trace the mysterious material to Prague's the Holan family's neighborhood. (Zlín Film Festival)
