Männer und Frauen verstehen sich nicht. Für Harold (Garry Shandling), den Alien mit der Kenn-Nummer H1449-6, ist das etwas Neues – schließlich hatte er noch nie mit einer Frau zu tun. Ausgeschickt vom Führer seines Heimatplaneten und ausgestattet mit einem gräßlich brummenden Zeugungsorgan soll er eine Erdenfrau schwängern. Mit dem erhofften Nachwuchs hat man schließlich wahrhaft galaktische Pläne. Doch vor der Realisierung muß sich der ungeschickte Möchtegern-Lover durch eine ganze Serie von Katastrophen der allerpeinlichsten Art kämpfen. Und da zeigt sich schnell, daß eine gute theoretische Ausbildung noch lange keinen versierten Aufreißer und guten Lover macht. (Verleiher-Text)

This is such a soulless, dumb and impossible comedy that I can’t believe heartless, stupid and impossible comedy until I can't believe who all is behind it.

I understood that this comedy has quite a specific humor right at the beginning of the film. I don’t mind vulgar humor but this just didn’t work for me. In Kevin & Perry Go Large or the Spanish Torrente, the Dumb Arm of the Law I’m kind of counting on the fact that when I see the acting atrocities, I can’t expect anything more decent. But here it seems as if you met a solid-looking guy in a park in an Armani suit, who would calmly address you and then pull out his wiener on you. You wouldn’t find it funny either.

It's pretty funny in places, and I had a lot of fun with it. Particularly the way the alien perceives some of the specifics of human society is amusing. It must be said that this film is not ridiculous, not all the time anyway, and more could be found in it. But the actors played their parts well. Yet the film probably gets lost among the rest.
