Paradise Beach

Ein Potenzial von einer soliden Gangster-Unterhaltung in einer schönen thailändischen Umgebung mit türkisfarbenem Wasser im Breitbildformat. Ich habe mich im Fitnesscenter mit einem iPad auf die zweite Hälfte gefreut, die ich mir im größeren Format ansehen wollte. Dann wurde daraus aber ein dumm zusammengebastelter Quatsch mit noch unsympathischeren Figuren, als es am Anfang aussah. Drehbuch und Regie – alles schlecht gemacht. (22.01.2020)

Slowly but surely, I’m getting used to Sami Bouajila, to whom Netflix gives quite a bit of space and who has charisma in spades. However, he’s still not very good with working with the audience’s emotions, so once again it is a piece that could be interesting, if you didn’t get annoyed with all the characters in the film, whose authority was also undermined by the wannabe gangsta music in the background.
