Yoon is a professional graphic designer and a retoucher of fashion and commercial photography. His main hobby is working – that and going without sleep for record-breaking periods while doing so. But one day he develops an extremely unpleasant rash, and after surrendering a whole job's pay to a private doctor with zero results, he does the unthinkable and heads to a state hospital. Where he ends up in the care of a very pretty doctor. Avoiding the cuteness overload typical of Thai blockbusters, Heart Attack indulges the director's weakness for design with old copy machines, 90s-era bathroom tiles and allusions to Edward Hopper. Hard-hitting, pithy dialogue full of winning, sympathetic satire and sarcasm along with a ubiquitous sense of humour – these are only a few of the qualities that earned this unusual romantic comedy second place in domestic attendance and a bundle of annual film prizes (Best Film, Director, Actor, Actress and Supporting Actress).
