When professor Capadis jumps out of the classroom window before the stunned eyes of some pupils, a group of six students remain strangely indifferent. Obwohl der Film als "Thriller“ bezeichnet wird, ist er nicht spannend und bietet auch kein anderes intensives Erlebnis an. Ein neuer Lehrer versucht nur, das ungewöhnliche Verhalten einer Gruppe von überdurchschnittlich begabten Schüler*innen in einer Grundschule zu verstehen und vielleicht eine Verschwörung aufzudecken. Diese bedrohen aber eigentlich niemanden, sie nehmen nur sensibler das ökologische Schlamassel unseres Planeten wahr und sind chronische Pessimisten. A stifling French drama with children. The film opens in rather shocking fashion, with a teacher committing suicide in front of the entire class and a new replacement teacher arriving to take charge of an elite class of gifted students with cold minds, fear mongering and dangerous rituals performed outside of school. A very strange film that has its own edge, good actors, a philosophical touch, a chilling atmosphere and a tense finale, but still lacked something to get a higher rating.
