2017 sees the 400th anniversary of the birth of Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, the greatest Seville painter of all times, the one who could dedramatize religious painting and portray the beauty of the people. In this enthralling journey, professors, painters, curators and restorers (among them, experts from the Louvre, the National Gallery of London and the Prado) reclaim and explain his legacy, and talk about his links with the history of the city (and with present-day Seville), and show in passing the inner workings of the museum and its professions.
