When a mysterious gate suddenly appears in Tokyo's Ginza district and begins spewing armed warriors and flying monsters, the world is thrown into turmoil. Although the deadly attack is thrown back by Japan's Self Defense Force, there's now a new and entirely unknown land on the other side of the portal, and Japan is effectively at war with a nation on the other side. Determined to secure peace, the JSDF must send an armed force into the Gate, but ogres, dragons and a ruthless Empire populated by elves, humans, and half-animal warriors aren't the only dangers they'll face. With the resources of two worlds at stake, the balance of power on both sides of the Gate is destabilizing, and betrayal can come at any time, from any quarter. Deutsch Eine Genre-Kombi aus Military und Fantasy ist recht interessant. Es wird auch etwas politisch und überhaupt kommen interessante Themen vor. Der Hauptcharakter ist eigentlich ein anständiger Kauz und von den weiteren Charakteren kommt zum Beispiel Rory Mercury gut an, aber auch der Rest Itamis “Harem" hat sein Charme. Weder mit der Animation noch mit der Musik hatte ich ein Problem und der Drache z. B. gefiel mir recht gut. Es war angenehm anzusehen, und auch wenn es sehr einseitig war und wie einer brillant schrieb, es ist alles ein "sehr süßer, feuchter Traum der Japaner über ihre Größe und Stärke", aber trotz dessen hat mir das japanische Militärmärchen einfach sehr gefallen und ich würde mir gerne so schnell wie möglich die dritte Staffel anschauen, vielleicht mit dem Untertitel "Zolzals Revenge"... 8/10 ()
