(Verleiher-Text)

Englisch The film is once again most interesting because it is a film by Stanley Kubrick, which was also lost for a long time. It is still a documentary film, but the last one. This one is the first one in color, which was not a condition for other Kubrick's films, whose author also fell in love with black and white. The film focuses on sailors, on how they have to rely on each other, how demanding their lives are, but also to some extent beautiful. Again, it is more of a historical value, when Kubrick interestingly tried to make the right impression with the scene, and evoke the right emotions. It is too television-like, too exaggerated, but it could work at its time. ()
