In 1990 a young woman arrives in a little village in Transylvania, introducing herself as Klára Szapolyai, to take possession of what she assumes to be her family heritage, the derelict baronial mansion. The people in the village react in different ways to the woman's appearance. Sándor, virtually the first man of the village, puts an end to the controversy: leaving his wife he moves to Klára. A man, a Romanian one, brings along Klára's Romanian-speaking daughter and leaves her behind. Subsequently, two strangers, pretending to be descendents of the Szapolyais, want to share the property of ever greater value, but they are driven away. The village cannot but put up with the fact: lords there were and will forever be, and it is Klára and Sándor who are the new lords of this village. (Mokép)
