Ronald Reagan plays Casey Abbott, commander of a WW2 submarine, while Nancy Davis portrays Helen, a navy nurse, Abbott's off-and-on girlfriend. Abbott is forced to leave a frogman behind to save the rest of his crew. My first movie with Ronald Reagan, and I got there by a coincidence. It's nothing great, just a tribute to the American Navy and its submarines, which surely accomplished a lot during World War II. For America, the film may be more interesting, but for others, the underwater shots are the most intriguing.
