Hannah is autistic, and due to her condition, unable to speak. When her sister (Angel) died, Hannah was forbidden to grieve by her abusive parents. The film has a fairly good starting point because violence against children is always very challenging to watch and has an impact on the viewer, but the connection with paranormal elements and horror here seems almost gratuitous. Mainly because it doesn't work, and in the end, it's just a film about revenge carried out due to strange circumstances.
