More than 15 million cosmetic procedures were performed in the US in 2014; 90% of them on women. Yet plastic surgery remains an unseemly subject in our culture. Thankfully, we have plenty of comedians - female comedians - and no one is better equipped to dismantle taboos. This irreverent, hilarious new documentary is former costume designer and journalist Joan Kron's filmmaking debut - and, at 89, Kron isn't about to mince words for the sake of social niceties.
