Yurijeongwon

Jae-yeon (Geun-young Moon) works in a biotechnology lab, and is in love with her lab colleague, a professor. She believes that the disability in her leg is the result of her father being cursed while logging. Believing that trees have souls, she devotes herself to the study of extending human life using plant cells. Research progresses slowly. Her happiness is short lived, however. Her lover leaves her for someone else in the lab, and they steal Jae-yeon's research results. Meanwhile, an unpublished novelist watches Jae-yeon from afar who, after accusing a senior writer of plagiarism, is ostracized from the literary world. Fascinated with Jae-yeon, he follows her to her hiding place in the forest in hopes of using her story in his next novel. And there he makes a shocking discovery. (Busan International Film Festival)
