When the Bishop talks Basie down from shooting him, he takes his new lease on life and pours his support into Lady Mae taking over Calvary. Connie and the Deacons back Grace and plan to enroll Calvary in Harmony & Hope Ministries' denominations of churches. Mae puts together a presentation for the Deacon Board, citing reasons why she should head the church, but fails. Grace decides to take over the church, breaks up with Darius, and uses Lionel's inheritance money to pay off the IRS. Lady Mae finally tells the Bishop that he is not Grace's father. He takes it in stride before collapsing from a heart attack during his final sermon at Calvary, but survives it. The whole family moves back into the mansion and has dinner. Grace blesses the food as the head of the church now. Tasha makes a deal with the FBI as Basie and Rochelle skip town. Kerissa and Jacob decide against a divorce. Both Jacob and Charity appeal to be Grace's Associate Pastor. Sophia is accepted to Hampton University. And Bob Whitmore, founder of Harmony and Hope, lets Grace know he'll be keeping a close eye on her in the year to come, even as she quietly conspires with her family to take back her family's church.
