Ultimately, Evil Souls isn't really that bloody or even nasty, and instead, it's kind of lazy and at times you'll feel like things were filmed on the first try. The set isn't groundbreaking, because it’s just a remote location where no one will be around much and won't have to interrupt the filming. This led to a film that will probably appeal most to the filmmakers themselves, because other viewers won't be very enthusiastic.
