The week-days of a youth-camp, playing democracy, are depicted in this documentarist satire. Due to faulty organisation, the Budapest high-school students get only working tools, but no work to do. The camp leadership tries to cover up facts and urges them to be initiated into "community life". They are trying to cover up the essence of the situation by tent-building competitions, a relay race, ceremonial flag hoisting and pulling down, evening programs, empty slogans and thread-bare marching songs. The critical youth analyse their teachers with a sharp eye and three of them escape to hoe a local peasant's corn. The distrustful and authoritative camp-leader, who has earlier slapped one of the boys, sends the three "unmanageable elements", destructive to the community, home. (Verleiher-Text)
