Am Anfang haben mich das digitale Bild und der Low-Budget-Charakter ziemlich gestört. Der Film hat einen würdigeren "Look" und eine hochwertige sinfonische und düstere Musik verlangt. Mit der Zeit haben diese Aspekte aber das Drehbuch mit einer soliden Steigerung, die kreative Regie und die dramatische Kamera (siehe die Aufnahme von Khaled mit einer Pfanne in der Hand, wie er durch den Flur in die Kneipe läuft) vollständig kompensiert. Auf diesem Niveau war das billige digitale Bild kein Problem mehr. Es hat dem Film im Gegenteil eine naturalistische Authentizität verliehen. Loben muss man auch den jungen Schauspieler und vor allem das ORIGINELLE Thema, auf dem der ganze brillante Film basiert.

I don't need to have everything served on a golden platter, but the unfinished ending annoyed me a bit. Still, it is an interesting film, with a strong and original story. I loved the performance of the child actor in the lead role, he is natural for his age and does not overact. I didn’t mind the digital camera, on the contrary, it enhances the authenticity of the story.
