Englisch In this movie, it’s not only the adults who are creeps, the children are as well. And Niels Oplev is trying to tell the story of this in-between-world between reality and the inconspicuous Danish small town without going crazy. I really had to shake my head at some of the sexual opinions. For instance, when the dad was explaining to his son that even though his mom had died he still needs to get laid every once in a while. And at that point, the boy had had so much experience that the dad would be amazed. Speed Walking is pretty weird, incredibly personal and some scenes could easily have been skipped. Other than that, however, I can’t say I didn’t find the ending interesting. If it wasn’t for some moments in the story, it would be a pretty solid and depressing Scandinavian movie with a positive side. On the other hand, this film was at times pretty shocking and thus it confirmed what the Scandinavians are good at. ()
